Rick Garner

Mr. James Ricky Garner, 66, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Piedmont Columbus Regional – Midtown. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. David Chapman officiating. The family will greet friends after the service at the church.

Mr. Garner was born in Columbus, GA, on August 26, 1957, to James Luke and Emily Holloway Garner. He was the owner and operator of Garner Furniture and Design and was a talented woodworker known for his fine craftsmanship. Known to all as “Rick”, he loved his church family at New Providence and was a beloved husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, Rani Garner of Buena Vista, GA; by a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Lily Garner of Columbus, GA; and by two step-sons, Taylor Crowe and Daniel Crowe.
