Robert "Bob" Walk

Robert Herbert Walk or “Mr. Bob” to his friends, 87, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center.  

Mr. Walk was born in Algoma, West Virginia on July 17, 1937. Upon his death he has been reunited with his beloved wife in Heaven, whom he has missed dearly since her passing. He enjoyed spreading the word of God and praying with anyone he could. Mr. Walk loved being around people and he especially loved his Boston Terriers. Prior to his retirement, he was a truck driver for Kroger. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh Cephus Walk and Nellie Mae Robinson Walk, his brothers Eugene Lewis Hugh Walk and Claude Walk, lastly by his wife, Bennie Joan Walk. 

He is survived by a daughter, Tina Walk of Los Angeles, CA; by a step-daughter, Kim Dougherty of Knoxville, TN; his sister Genie “Dolly” Walk Draker of Myrtle Creek, OR, and her children, Sue Earle, Spokane, WA, Mike Draker, of Myrtle Creek OR, Barbee Schlaich of Arnold, MD, Gina Draker, of Lakeland, FL; by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other extended family members and special friends.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
