Rosa Margene Sheets

Ms. Rosa Margene Parris Sheets, 81, of Americus, passed away on April 27, 2023 after an extended illness. Memorial services will be held on May 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church with visitation to follow in the sanctuary.

Ms. Sheets was born June 2, 1941 in Rome, Georgia to Curtis Roland and Leila Beatrice Woods Parris.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church.  Mrs. Sheets enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially working in her garden or with flowers. She retired from Thomason Singer as a salesman, but she was also an excellent seamstress and could sew anything.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Keith Holloway and Anthony Holloway, a grandson, Tony Lambert and two sons-in-law, Bryan Rooks and Tommy Fountain.

Survivors include her three daughters, Lisa Rooks and her husband, Brad of Ellaville, GA, Donna Raper and her husband, Jayce of Leesburg, GA and Connie Fountain of Ellaville, GA; eight grandchildren, William Rooks (Laura), Jonathan Rooks (Jessica), Mary Lambert, Brooke Shivers (Aaron), Cayce Raper, Kaitlyn Raper, Nicole Holloway (Skip) and Michael Lambert (Vickie); two brothers, W.C. Parris and Jerry Parris (Sandra), all of Cedartown, GA; two sisters, Joann Smith (Wallace) of Cornelia, GA and Peggy Parris (Mike) of Gillsville, GA; fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
