Ruble Lewis Youngblood, Sr.

Rev. Ruble L. Youngblood, Sr., 77, of Box Springs, GA, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Bethany Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Toomey officiating. You may visit with Rev. Youngblood at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista from 9:00AM - 5:00PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021.  Due to Covid-19, face coverings are encouraged and please practice social distancing.

Rev. Youngblood was born on May 3, 1943, to A. J. and Leona Youngblood. He was the pastor of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church where he was very involved helping out people and making sure that had what they needed.  He enjoyed working in the yard. Rev. Youngblood loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them especially during the holidays. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Griffis, one brother, Joe Youngblood, and two sisters, Ann Toomey and Cathy Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Murphy Youngblood; a son, Ruble L. Youngblood, Jr. and his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Anita Youngblood Wells and her husband, Keith; a brother, Johnny Youngblood, all of Box Springs, GA; his grandchildren, Cody Youngblood, Dustin Youngblood, Tracy Peavy, Chad Peavy, Zachary Cooper, and Gage Griffis; and 14 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
