Ruby Braddam Burns

Ruby Vidina Braddam Burns, 62, of Mauk, GA, died Saturday, September 3, 2011, in Columbus, GA.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 5, 2011, in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Lowery officiating. Music was provided by Laura Harvey. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burns was born April 4, 1949, in Birchwood, TN, to Raymond and Irene Goodwin Braddam.Living in the area for the past 30 years, she had attended Brown Springs Church of God. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. She had a great love for music. She was employed as a Cashier-Cook at a service station. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a daughter, Patricia Strickland.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Gene Burns of Mauk, GA; by three daughters, Debra and Danny Baker of Box Springs, GA; Nancy and Chad Thrasher of Ft. Valley, GA; and Irene and Kenneth Costlow of Seale, AL; by three brothers, Billy Braddam and DC Braddam, both of FL, and Jack Braddam of TN; by two sisters, Marie Blankenship of TN and Shirley Hallman of FL; by 7 Grandchildren, Tiana Costlow, Kenneth Costlow, Chasity Costlow, Michael Walker, Christopher Strickland, Daniel Baker, and Jeffrey Baker; by 3 Great Grandchildren, Madison and Cailey Duncan and Llanden Walker; and by the father of her children, Welton Strickland of Ft. Valley, GA.
