Rufus E. Chapman

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Rufus E. Chapman, age 62, of Buena Vista, GA died early Tuesday morning, September 28, 2010 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 2, 2010 in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home. Rev. David Chapman will officiate.
Mr. Chapman was born January 13, 1948 in Marion County, GA, the son of Minnie Parlee Phillips Chapman and Julius Edgar Chapman. He was a mechanic with the Marion County Road Department and a member of Tazewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael L. Chapman of Jacksonville, FL, R. Lamar Chapman of Apopka, FL; and one brother, Bennie Chapman and companion, Tonya Jones of Buena Vista, GA. Two grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Watson-Giddens Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
