Rusty Taylor

Mr. David Russell “Rusty” Taylor, 42, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his friends and family.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Norman Waddell officiating.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Thomas, Logan Burdwell, Justin Turner, Quinn Gutierrez, Garrett Harris, and Shawn Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Earl Harbuck, Jeff O’Neal, and Mike McClellan.

Rusty was born November, 9, 1973, in Columbus, GA, to Jimmy and Anita Pilcher Taylor. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and had been self-employed as a Truck Driver and Crane Operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding four-wheelers.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Windy Turner Taylor of Box Springs, GA; by his mother, Anita Pilcher Taylor of Buena Vista, GA; by two daughters, Chelsea Taylor and Allisa Turner of Box Springs, GA; by two sisters, Wendy and Mike Blount of Smiths Station, AL, and Tammi Taylor and Jesse Gutierrez of Buena Vista, GA; by an uncle and aunt, Wesley and Brenda Taylor and their children, Julie Taylor and Beth Torres of Buena Vista, GA; and by four nieces and nephews, Quinn, Taylor, Ashley and Justin.
