Sara Underwood

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Sara Underwood age 74, of Ellaville, GA, died Sunday, May 19, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2013 in the Preston City Cemetery.  Rev. David Chapman will officiate.

     Mrs. Underwood was born October 4, 1938 in Turner County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Sarah Smith Vickery and the late George Vickery. She was a seamstress at Spilene of Ellaville and a homemaker. Mrs. Underwood was a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Buena Vista, GA.

     Mrs. Underwood is survived by three sons, Allen Underwood and wife Maxine of Ellaville, GA, Andy Underwood and wife Brandi of Buena Vista, GA, Elvis Underwood and wife Tina of Preston, GA; one brother, George Cleo Vickery of Americus, GA; four sisters, Ann Brock of Ellaville, Callie Raybon of Americus, Glenda Bridier of Ellaville and Elvalena Howell of Ellaville..  Also surviving are four grandchildren, Ryan Underwood and wife Suzanne, Houston Underwood, Sarah Leann Underwood, Drew Underwood; and two great grandchildren, Addison Underwood and Aiden Underwood.  Mrs. Underwood was preceded in death by her husband, Stout Underwood and a brother George Winston Vickery, Sr.

     Pallbearers will include Ryan Underwood, Houston Underwood, Donnie Singley, Steven Vickery, Steven Franks and James Cauley.
  
     Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.

     Watson-Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
