Scotty Jayson Vann

DUBLIN, GA --- Mr. Scotty Jayson Vann, age 43, of Dudley, GA, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Services will be held graveside at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 30, 2012 at Northview Cemetery in Dublin. Rev. Steve Wyatt will officiate.

Mr. Vann was born July 19, 1968 in Dublin, the son of Judy Watson Vann Gilreath and the late Thomas Edward Vann. He was a self-employed truck driver and enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing.

Mr. Vann is survived by his wife, Debra Galbreath Vann of Dudley, GA; his mother and stepfather, Judy and Larry Gilreath of Dublin; one daughter, Katie Vann of Dudley, GA; one brother, Robby Vann of Dublin; two nephews, Hunter Vann and Haydn Vann; three stepsisters, Kim Weaver and husband Todd of Gulf Shores, AL, Becky Carter and husband Peyton of Cordele, GA, Stacey Rainwater and husband Jeff of Northport, AL; one stepbrother, Steve Gilreath and wife Nadine of Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will include Todd Evans, Michael Galbreath, Steve Knight, William Clark, D. J. Clark, and Chris Clark.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin. At other times, the family will receive friends and family at the home of Judy and Larry Gilreath, 1020 McLendon Road, Dublin.
