Shannon Couey

Ms. Shannon Lea Couey, 46, formerly of Ellaville, GA, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Smith officiating.  

Ms. Couey was born August 2, 1972, to Gary Tubbs and Joanne Holy Hemphill. She was a beautiful and loving mother, daughter and sister and one of the most kind hearted spirits. She loved her kids more than anything in this world. Ms. Couey was truly an amazing woman to be around. 

She is survived by her father Gary Tubbs of Columbus, GA; her mother Joanne Hemphill of Panama City, FL; a son, Cullen Couey of Warner Robins, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Allexy and Kurt Starling of Fort Valley, GA; and two sisters, Ronni Ann Cooper and Christen Tubbs  both of Panama City, FL. Also surviving are three nieces, Skylar Cooper, Tanleigh Bischel, and Chloe Bischel, three nephews, Blake Burkett, Dylan Cooper, Finley Kennedy and the father of her children, Clint Couey of Fort Valley, GA.

Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
