SSG (Ret.) Wilfredo Baez

SSG (Ret.) Wilfredo Baez, 81, of Buena Vista, GA passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at El Sembrador, 130 4th Ave., Buena Vista, GA 31803. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

SSG Baez was born January 12, 1940 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Esteban Baez and Rosa Santiago. He was retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant and began working for the United States Postal Service and later became a pastor. Mr. Baez enjoyed spending time with his family. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling and fishing. Mr. Baez loved serving people and being involved in the church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ana Baez and his son, Esteban Baez.

He is survived by his daughter, Enid Granados and her husband, Raymundo and his grandson, Alexander Matthew Fraser and his wife, Christina.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to El Sembrador, PO Box 128, Buena Vista, GA 31803.
