Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Mallichek, 80 of Ellaville, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family. The family has chosen to have a private memorial service, however friends are invited to visit at their residence, 343 Hwy 153, Ellaville, GA.
Mr. Mallichek was born April 30, 1941 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late John Mallichek and Ethel Woolf Mallichek. He moved to Ellaville from Dryden, Michigan in 1964 to work at Champion, Plains Products Division but retired from the Americus Housing Authority where he worked in maintenance. Tommy was a man of few words, but when he spoke everybody listened. He enjoyed being outdoors and working in the yard as well as woodworking projects. He loved his family and spending time with them and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia King Mallichek of Ellaville; a daughter, Renee Mallichek Barrett and her husband, Johnny of Buena Vista, GA; two grandchildren, Christopher Barrett and his wife, Chelsey and Taylor Barrett and his companion Savannah Keyt, all of Buena Vista, GA; sister-in-law, Barbara Mallichek of Colbert, GA; a niece, Rebecca Seidell of Michigan; and a great nephew, Michael Lacount of Dallas, TX.
