Tommy James

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Tommy James, age 63, of Oglethorpe, GA died Monday, April 25, 2011. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the Ellaville Cemetery. Reverend Bryan Bentley will officiate.
Mr. James was born June 7, 1947 in Dooly County, GA, the son of Folice James and Lela Lucile Teele James. He was owner of Finish Systems of Georgia Hardwood Flooring and Sheetrock.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Ann Singletary of Warner Robins, GA, Renaye Robinson and husband Mike of Ellaville, Cheryl Myrick and husband Norman of Perry, GA, Tammy Phagan of Ellaville; two sons, Plez James of Warner Robins, GA, Steve James and wife Amity of Ellaville; two sisters, Syble Wall of Ellaville, Laverne Carroll of Eastman, GA; eleven grandchildren, Meagan James, Chandra Churchwell, Teddy Blankenship III, Cody Robinson, Chase Phagan, Chandler Phagan, Chance Phagan, Andrew James, Abbie James, Shelby Carter, Jill Myrick; and companion, Debbie Chapman. Also surviving are two great grandchildren and two nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. James was preceded in death by Margaret James and a grandson, Chad Phagan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, April 27 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
Pallbearers will include Brick Barnes, Wayne Price, Robbie Gaultney, Lawrence Callier, Cecil Bell, Mark Churchwell, Milton Bone, Mike Robinson, Harold Wall and Winston Vickery.
