Valarie McCall Gilbert

Mrs. Valarie McCall Gilbert, 48, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Services will be private.

Mrs. Gilbert was born in Atlanta, GA, on November 15, 1974, to Jimmy and Christina Cheryl Jones Suggs.  She was a sweet soul. She loved her family and was loved by her family. An avid football fan, her favorite team was the Atlanta Falcons. Mrs. Gilbert loved cooking and was very good at it. She worked in the insurance industry dealing with workman’s comp claims and settlements. Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Suggs, and by her husband, McClain Gilbert.

She is survived by her mother Christina Cheryl Suggs; by her uncle, Frank Jones (Karen); and by a cousin, Joshua Jones, all of Mauk, GA.
