Mrs. Verna Rumph, 81, of Box Springs, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Taylor County Health and Rehab in Butler, GA. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mrs. Rumph on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 10:00am – 5:00pm at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA.
Mrs. Rumph was born in Juniper, GA, on February 14, 1940, to Charles W. Fuller, Sr. and Rosie Hinton Fuller. She retired after many years of working as a seamstress at Manchester Sewing Factory and Mooncraft. Mrs. Rumph was a devoted member of Oakland Baptist Church where she was very involved in church activities. She had a green thumb and loved gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward David Rumph, and by her brothers Charles Fuller, Jr. and Ray Fuller.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Christi Rumph of Box Springs, GA, and Steven and Niki Rumph of Silverdale, WA; by a brother, Lee and Mary Joyce Fuller and a sister, Nellie Brown; by five grandchildren, Tiffany and Marc Warner, Timothy and Brittney Rumph, Shauna and Chris Waldon, Kendel Rumph and Logan Rumph; and by four great-grandchildren, Dakota Warner, Kaydance Warner, Marc Warner, Jr., and Dawson Rumph.
Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has been entrusted with these arrangements.
