Vicki Lynn Wilder

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Vicki Lynn Wilder, age 61, of Ellaville, GA died Monday evening, November 17, 2014 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held Friday, 2:00 PM November 21, 2014 at Ellaville United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Ellaville cemetery. Rev. Bryan Gerstel and Rev. Lowell Layman will officiate.

      Mrs. Wilder was born October 25, 1953 in Imlay City, MI, the daughter of Maxine and Floyd Wille. She was a nurse for 38 years, working at the Schley County Health Department for many of those years. Mrs. Wilder was a very active member of Ellaville United Methodist Church where she had served as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday school teacher, member of the choir, member of the UMW, involved in decorating for Christmas and Easter, working in VBS and Christmas programs.  She loved to bake, cook and sew for her family and the community.  Before their deaths, Mrs. Wilder had been the primary caregiver for her parents and her husband Benny Wilder.    

    Survivors include three daughters and one son in law, Le Anna Wilder of Ellaville, Mary Lynn and Braulio Ornelas of Ellaville, Ashley Wilder of Americus; one brother, Kevin Wille of Americus; four grandchildren, Katelyn Carney, Ryder Garner, Cameron Wilder Barragan and Ayden Ornelas. Two nephews, Bradley Wille of Americus and PFC Austin Wille of Jacksonville, NC also survive. 

     Pallbearers will include Neil Snyder, Steve Miller, Wayne Morrow, Jr., Carlton Wilson, Olin Witherton, Marc Ellis and Gary Williamson.  Visitation will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ellaville United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 74, Ellaville, GA  31806.
