Virginia Ruth Cobb

Mrs. Virginia Ruth Cobb, age 84, of Mauk, GA, died Monday, November 14, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Oakland Church of God with Reverend Terry Hudson and Reverend A. R. Curlee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.

Mrs. Cobb was born September 1, 1927, to Herman Franklin and Bessie Mae Buckner Moore. She was employed by Tom's Foods for 38 ½ years in production. She was a member of Oakland Church of God and the Quarter Century Club of Tom's Food. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Hearman Cobb, Sr. of Mauk, GA; by two sons, Glenn Hearman Cobb, Jr. of Mauk, GA, and Dewey Rodney Simmons of Buena Vista, GA; by a daughter Deborah Gail Dennard of Phenix City, Al; and by a sister, Shirley Jean Gleason and husband Kenneth of Mauk, GA. Three Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of arrangements.
