Virginia "Ginger" Player Bryant

Ms. Virginia “Ginger” Player Bryant, 56, of Americus, passed away on May 11, 2022 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home, Ellaville with Rev. Daryl Lewis officiating.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM until service time.

Ms. Bryant was born October 13, 1965 in Americus to Edgar Player, Sr. and Opal Bray Player.  She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church.  Ginger worked at Americus Glass Company for 24 years and loved working with people and her employer.  She enjoyed spending time with children and working with them at church. Ginger was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her parents, Edgar, Sr. and Opal Player of Americus; two brothers, Darren Player and his wife, Patti of Oglethorpe, GA and J.R. Player of Perry, GA; and a nephew, Robinson Player of Athens, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 3838 GA-271, Ellaville, GA 31806.
