Vivien Benefield Powell

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Ms. Vivien Benefield Powell, age 70, of Ellaville, GA died late Tuesday evening, March 9, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Hopewell United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Peter Vermeulen and Rev. Clifford Braxton will officiate.
Ms. Powell was born January 17, 1940 in Schley County, GA, the daughter of Cathryn Alice Benefield and John Blake Benefield. She was a service manager at King's Custom Builders and a member of Ellaville United Methodist Church.
Ms. Powell is survived by one daughter, Cathy Lynn Usry of Ellaville; two sons, Hal Usry of Ellaville, Bob Usry and wife Karen of Ellaville, GA; and one brother, Blake Benefield of Ellaville. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Jaxon Usry and Mazzy Usry.
Pallbearers will include Mike Flynn, Kenny Martin, John Oscar Mathews, Jimmy Harvey, Mike Robinson, and Mike Sellars. Visitation will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home.
