Wanda K. Hudson

Mrs. Wanda K. Hudson, 73, of Buena Vista, GA, gained her angel wings peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown in Columbus, GA, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Per her wishes, no formal funeral will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

Wanda was born on June 5, 1951, in Columbus, GA, to Clinton Hendricks and Nellie Veasey Hendricks. She was a 1969 graduate of Baker High School, adding to her formal education at Columbus Technical College, numerous professional seminars and conferences. Wanda was noted for her impeccable accounting skills, being a real stickler for accuracy and detail. She was a long time employee of John Deere and Tyson Foods, retiring in 2004. Her world revolved around her family and many friends. She was a master gardener whose blooms and flora brought smiles to many faces. Cooking and sharing recipes brought her great joy. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, her specialty being baby blankets which she gifted to family and friends. In her retirement, she developed a passion for cruising and traveling. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Glen Hendricks. 

She leaves the following to cherish her genuine love and memories: Husband of 55 years, Brad Hudson; son Alexander Hudson (Ineke) of Dallas, GA; daughters, Jamie Miley (Bobby) of Manchester, GA, and Jessica Ramseyer (Tyler) of Warner Robins, GA; brother David Hendricks of Jasper, GA; granddaughters Nikki Robertson (Brandon), Emma Tonkin, Jayden Boetjer and Ava Boetjer; grandsons, Michael Smith (Taylor), Andre Hudson, Aidan Hudson, James Tonkin and Orry Hudson; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Ashton, Cavan, Cylis, Dax, Link, and Waylon; numerous dear cousins, in-laws, friends and neighbors; and special fur babies in her life included Skeeter, Smoky, Tinkerbell, Zoe, Killian, Buddy, Peanut, and Lil Darlin.
