Wendy Carter

Ms. Wendy Carter, 56, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Oakland Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Randy Comer officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA.

Ms. Carter was born in Americus, GA, on May 4, 1965, to Dewey and Doris Robinson Carter. Always laughing, she was the life of the party and never met a stranger. Ms. Carter enjoyed fishing, playing cards, Braves baseball, and NASCAR. She loved decorating and was always moving the house around.  Ms. Carter loved being outside watching the birds and ducks on the pond and admiring the flowers. She especially loved being on the porch while drinking coffee and watching the sunrise. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Robinson Carter, by a brother, R. D. Carter, and a sister, Karen Carter.

She is survived by her father, Dewey Carter; by her companion, Brian Pickell; her son, Justin Sutherland; three daughters, Jessica Pickle, Jenna Lovette, and Brindy Pickell; her sister and brother-in-law, Gay and Freddie Lasseter and eight grandchildren.

Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has been entrusted with these arrangements.
