William "Billy" Holt

       ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. William “Billy” Thomas Holt, age 51, of Fort Worth, TX died early Friday morning, October 10, 2014 in St. Anthony, MN.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM,  Friday, October 17, 2014 in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home.  Rev. Tom Teate will officiate.  

      Mr. Holt was born in Memphis TN, on November 27, 1962.  He was the son of Jean Holt of Memphis, TN and the late Sam Holt.  Mr. Holt had worked as a pipeliner, foreman, back hoe and side-boom operator for Snelson Companies, US Pipeline Inc., Price Gregory International and most recently, Michels Corporation. Mr. Holt was a member of the National Pipefitters Union, Operators Union Local 49 in Minnesota and Laborers Union 350 in Texas.  He loved golfing, fishing, and his work.

    Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Lori Holt of Ellaville; one son, Derek Holt of Ocala, FL; two step children, Casey Battle and wife Tiffany of Ellaville, Lindsay Battle of Cheyenne, WY; one brother, Richard Holt and wife Judy of Memphis, TN; one sister, Patty Warren of Memphis, TN; two nephews, Chad Warren of Memphis, TN, Ricky Holt of Memphis, TN; one niece, Amy Carter of Memphis, TN; along with numerous other family.  In addition to his father, Mr. Holt was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Holt, and one step daughter, Andrea Battle.

    Honorary pallbearers include Casey Battle, Shawn Brandt, Dana Bratcher, Allen Collier, Chad Collier, Craig Cypert, Bruce Dossey, Kenneth Gill, Buddy Huffman, Thad Hutchens, Glenn Maneritch, Paul Munn, Nate Rondeau, Trevor Thayer and Bruce Tischbein.   Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA.
