William Rackley, Sr.

Mr. William Mike Rackley, Sr., 76, of Talbotton, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Rackley was born April 21, 1945, in Byron, GA, to Jack Rackley and Mamie Kelly Rackley. He was employed at Dixie Erectors as an Iron Worker before his retirement. Mr. Rackley loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He had been around the world and came back home. An Ironworker by profession and a cowboy at heart, he was as strong and stubborn as they come. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Chuck Rackley, Betty Taylor, Peggy Stringfellow, Mary Jo Rackley, and Terasa Rackley.

He is survived by four sons, Mike and Renee Rackley of Ranburne, AL, Brad and Robyn Rackley of Columbus, GA, David and Cecelia Rackley of Longview, TX, and Tim and Bambi Rackley of Columbus, GA; by a daughter, Jacklyn Howerton of Dayton, OH; a brother, Marshall (Buddy) and Rebecca Rackley; a sister, LaJuana Rackley; a brother-in-law, Bobby Stringfellow; a sister-in-law, Diane Rackley; by grandchildren, Cody Rackley, Sinead Rackley, Phyllis Rackley, Georgia Rackley, Ty Rackley, Diana Howerton, Chuck Howerton, Hunter Rackley, Taylor Rackley, Abbigail Chandler, Tristan Davis, Bradly Kaylor, and Kaylon Smith; and by 6 great-grandchildren, Emma Lew, Baylor, River, Lakeland, Madison, and Brently.
